Another issue raised here which is connected to Ghanaian Comedian Funny Face alias Opetey One:
A Ghanaian woman based in the United States of America has prosecuted comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly recognized in show business as Funny Face for allegedly owing her over $53,105.53.
A writ reported at the Accra High Court on November 28, 2019, the user, Mary Ama Boansi, declared that Funny Face seized cash from her upon the promise that he would wed her but ceased to function to pay back when the friendship whirled sour.
According to the writ, Mary came upon Funny Face sometime in June 2016 and came to be a friend with him.
She further asserted that Funny Face later knocks over in love with the woman and proposed a wedding to her.
In view of the affection she had for him, she allegedly stepped a bunch of bills for Funny Face for his movie operations.
Even though Funny Face according to the writ pledged to pay back the money, he has not yet done that.
The Plaintiff, is, therefore, wanting the court to among other things direct Funny Face to settle her $53,105.53 or its Ghana cedi correspondent being the total sum of money she allegedly delivered the comedian.
She also anticipates the bar to order Funny Face to compensate interest on the announced payment.
Mary Ama Boansi also needs the tribunal to proclaim that Funny Face deceived her by “false pretenses.”
She further declares that It would be difficult for her to trust mankind again as her guy has allegedly betrayed her. "I will make sure I get all my goods and other things I gave to him" She concluded.
